Public Storage: Interior LED Lamp with Ceiling Occupancy Sensor Controls Upgrade, Emergency Lighting & Exit Sign LED Retrofit

Public Storage, the largest brand of self-storage services in the United States, rehired Earth Savers to upgrade the interior lighting in their facilities across the nation after achieving positive results from a 2015 lighting upgrade project by the company. Earth Savers used their creative solutions again to improve energy savings and lighting quality to current lighting standards throughout lobbies, storage hallways, utility rooms and restrooms. This facility in Rancho Cordova, California will benefit from an annual kWh savings of 14,597 or a combined annual energy and maintenance savings of $1,977.

Out-of-date CFL and incandescent lamps, emergency lighting and exit signs were retrofit with LED technology throughout this facility. Existing occupancy ceiling sensors were replaced with new ceiling sensors for compatibility with the LED’s that were installed. Lighting upgrade projects that pair efficient LED lamps with upgraded motion-sensing occupancy sensors create high energy savings for facilities like these, where customers and staff enter and exit throughout the day.
