Highest Standards

Earth Savers is committed to the highest standards of workmanship and customer service. We keep our promises. The best evidence of these standards comes from our customers themselves.

Creative Solutions

In 26 years of experience we have seen and solved just about every lighting issue there is. We do not always take the easy route. Safety is the foremost consideration, but after that we strive to achieve the greatest cost savings with the best performance, aesthetic value, reliability and payback. After all is said and done, we tell our designers and installers to ask themselves if they would want their children to live or work in the space.

Financial Incentives

Most utility companies offer rebates for qualifying interior lighting retrofit projects. A recent clarification in federal tax law allows some owners to deduct the entire cost of a qualifying lighting project in the first year instead of depreciating the cost over a much longer term. Ask us about this tax incentive. On-Bill-Financing is also available in certain states, allowing owners to finance the cost of a lighting upgrade with 0% interest. Payments for projects funded through On-Bill-Financing can be made directly to utility companies when paying utility bills.

Environment

Using less energy and reducing our carbon footprint has become a priority for many businesses in light of recent and undeniable evidence of climate change.  Annual U.S. greenhouse gas emissions in 2020 were about 6 billion metric tons equivalent. https://www.epa.gov/climate-indicators/climate-change-indicators-us-greenhouse-gas-emissions  Electricity generation (power plants) historically account for 31% of all greenhouse gas emissions since 1990.  In 2021, the U.S. consumed 3.9 trillion kWh of electricity.   About 61% was consumed by business and industry, and of that 11.3% was consumed for lighting. https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/electricity/use-of-electricity.php  Upgrading to LED lighting and digital controls can reduce commercial and industrial energy consumption for lighting by 60% to 90%.  If every business in the U.S. were to upgrade its lighting we could save as much as 241 billion kWh per year.  At an average cost of $0.12/kWh that represents an annual savings of $29 billion per year.  As for the environment, 171 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions would be avoided annually.  See https://www.epa.gov/energy/greenhouse-gas-equivalencies-calculator to see the effect your project can have on the environment.
