SmartStop Self Storage: Interior LED Retrofit with Occupancy Sensors

SmartStop Self Storage contracted Earth Savers to retrofit several of their commercial self storage facilities throughout California, Colorado, Washington, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and Nevada.

In their Las Vegas storage facility, certified Earth Savers installers were tasked with retrofitting rental offices, storage floors, restrooms, stairwells, and elevators with dimmable lamps and occupancy sensor controls. In the lobby, troffer fixtures received new lamps, and new downlight recessed can fixtures were installed to allow for a uniform lighting experience. Fixtures along the storage floors, units, and stairs were retrofit with dimmable lamps, and occupancy sensors. With the goal of energy consumption, SmartStop was able to reduce annual energy costs by an estimated 77%, or $8,368 with the annual energy reduction of 83,684.00kWh.
